Mandy has a Bachelor’s of Music Education and a Master’s in Education from University of Southern Mississippi.  She has served as the Minister of Music at Franklin United Methodist Church in Laurel, Mississippi and has been involved with the music program of First United Methodist Church of Long Beach since 1999.  She has also taught nine years in the public and private school settings. 

 

There has always been music in Mandy’s life.  According to her mom, she started directing the choir at her home church in Ellisville, when she was only two years old and began waving her hands in time with the hymns during the worship service. She has always had a passion for making and sharing music with others. 

 

Mandy came to Long Beach from Ellisville, Mississippi in 1998 after marrying Andy, a Long Beach native.  Mandy and Andy have three children: Anna Kate, William, and Alan.  Mandy enjoys playing cards once a month with her Canasta friends.  Everyone has accepted that she likes to wear her Princess Crown while she plays.  She also enjoys gardening, swimming, and spending time with her family.
