Hurricane Information

First United Methodist Church Long Beach is committed to the spiritual growth of the individual, as well as, the family. Our church has made a strong attempt to provide a well-rounded slate of groups and activities throughout the year in order to address the spiritual needs of the whole church.  United Methodist Men (UMM) is a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually, and to seek His will.  Its primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.  Some of their activities include: Meeting on the second Sunday of each month at 7am for breakfast and a devotional, going on fun excursions for fellowship, participating in Habitat for Humanity projects, encouraging participation in Mountain T.O.P. (A.I.M), supporting UMW with setup and cleanup for the spring and fall rummage sales, encouraging participation in Promise Keepers, and preparing and serving Seashore Mission meals as needed.  All men, both young and old are encouraged to attend.  For more information about UMM, contact UMM President, Fred Renfrey. Visit the United Methodist Men’s website by clicking here.

The men’s That Men’s Group and Jane music ensemble meets at 6pm on Wednesdays when the Choir Director requests it.  This ensemble performs mostly Southern Gospel Quartet type songs occasionally during worship services and at other special functions.
