Text Box: First United Methodist Church of Long Beach is committed to establishing a strong bond between the church and our children. Our church has committed itself to making the children of our church active participants in the worship experience. During Sunday morning services, a special sermon or lesson called Children’s Time is given specifically for the children. Just after Children’s Time, the children have the option of exiting the sanctuary to attend Children’s Church. Special events are held at Easter and Christmas to celebrate the birth and resurrection of Jesus. A week in June or July of each year is set aside for Vacation Bible School which is open to the children of our church, as well as, children in the community. Additional events are held during the summer and fall to bring our children together in fellowship.
