MOSAIC is a work mission camp

that was created three summers

ago. The Youth Leadership Team

of FUMC gathered in the wake of

Hurricane Katrina and with a

burden to make a difference in the

community, began MOSAIC.

Our objective is to provide a holistic

work mission camp for Junior and

Senior High students. We want this

to benefit all involved from the

students, to the community, to the

church, as well as to those in

leadership. With this in mind we

offer a one-week summer camp on

June 20-25, 2010.

Students will share in a time of

focus and devotion on God’s word

in the morning before heading off to

work in the community. In the

afternoon they will share in a meal

and then worship together as well

as hearing from God’s word. There

will be some times of fellowship,

fun, and activities as well as

times of reflection and debriefing

of the day’s work.

We hope that all involved will be

renewed in their love for God

and gain a passion for being the

hands and feet of Christ. But

our deepest hope and dream

that participants in this year’s

MOSAIC will bring their

brokenness and allow God to

take the bits and pieces of our

shared lives and make

something beautiful out of us all,

perhaps a mosaic called life. Will

The cost is $125.00 per person. All meals are included in the cost. You must return the application forms and $50 deposit per student by April 30, 2010. Full registration due by May 30, 2010.
